PLEASE HELP my ipod works when its plugged in, but when i unplug it i don't get anything?

Question

it had a spin in the washer. we took it to the apple store ( after it dried out for a few days) they plugged it in, said it worked. and i got home to charge it and it only turns on when its plugged in. is it just broken now? or should i book another appointment?

your battery wont hold a charge ... i recommend just buying a new ipod, but you could replace the battery also

Give it some time on the charger (however you charge it).  An ipod can take some time to charge fully.  Mine takes a couple hours.  If that doesn't work, the battery is probably shot.

The battery is cactus (worn out)..i did the same thing to a cell phone,i actually spilt beer on it..The battery shorts itself out..So you need a new battery
