PLEASE HELP! which company is merging with verizon?

Question

i thought sprint was merging with verizon wireless, but then i heard altell was instead. but i also heard altell was merging with t-mobile...... which one is correct?!?!

I hadn't heard this,so I looked it up on phonescoop.com  and also alltell's site.

It looks like Alltel.

(if you saw the coverage of each company's OWN towers and that  they use compatible CDMA networks,such a merger makes sense.

As an Alltel subscriber I received notice that Alltel was merging with Verizon.  No final date set as to when according to the corporate people yet but the notice came with my bill and was confirmed at the local store.
