  1. Routers will pick up a WiFi signal and direct it to your modem.

A modem is used to connect your computer to the internet, and most places will charge you.

You will probably connect the Wii with the USB cable to your router.  Routers normally can connect at least two different divices to your modem, one would be your computer, the other your game set.

There used to be some "free accounts" but you still need to have a "dialup" number, or phone line to get the signals from router, modem, to the ISP server.  Trouble is, most of these "free" accounts are slow, and won't work well with graphics or games today, that have many bites of memory.

The ISP server has a URL address.  You connect to webpages, and games on line only if you have their URL, and a connection.

Overall, you will likely have to pay for service, check out Yahoo plans, they are about one of cheapest.

    Hope this helps.

  2. the account is free and its in wii.com

  3. You need an account with an Internet Service Provider. They will provide you with a connection to the Internet (usually through cable or your phone line).

The wireless router may have a built in (A)DSL modem, in which case you get an (A)DSL account and connect the router to your phone line. Otherwise you connect the router to your (A)DSL or Cable modem (according to the instructions that came with the router).

The Wii connects to the router via WiFi.

To connect the desktop to the Internet via the router you would either use an ethernet cable or a WiFi adaptor. Which you use depends on personal preference and what is built into the system already. You can get a USB WiFi adaptor for about £10.
