  1. I'm not sure whether or not this is bad for your eyes. I think you should talk to your eye doctor about your concerns.

However, if you really don't want to wear your glasses, you should probably consider trying out contact lenses. I wear them, and they are considerably easy.

    Hope it helps.

  2. yes bad idea to not wear them you are over working them which could cause you to get worst vision so wear your darn glasses like a big boy and if you do't like them get contacts or you can't get surgery until your prescriptions stops changing

  3. I am not sure about that. Maybe should ask your eye doctor for some professional help instead of the yahoo answers. We can only provide our opinions

  4. yeah, when i didn't wear my glasses my eyes got alot worse. so now i just have to wear contacts all the time with awful (1000/20) prescription. i would recommend getting contacts.

  5. No, you will not go blind by not wearing your glasses.  Your vision will not worsen by doing this either.

When you wear your glasses, they focus images where they should be in your eye for you to see clearly.  When you do not wear your glasses, images are not focused correctly and are therefore blurry.  This may cause eyestrain, headaches, or fatigue, but doesn't make your visual acuity any worse.

Your eyes may be getting worse on their own, though.  Nearsightedness (which I assume you have because you move to the front of the room to see more clearly) usually progresses through the teens and stabilizes in the twenties.  Unfortunately there really isn't anything you can do to prevent the progression (including wearing or not wearing glasses).

So basically, you will not go blind from not wearing your glasses all the time.  Wearing them, though, may help with the strain you have been feeling lately.  If you don't like wearing glasses, look into contacts.  You should also get a check-up once a year with your eye doctor.
