My novel is about a homeless woman in 17th century Netherlands. She becomes obsessed with a man and watches him through his windows while she is living in the alley next to his home, she comes incontact with him like she had always wished and just as shes out of the darness she returns by dying in a famous historical explosion that happened at that time.

I need help with the cover. This book is due tommorrow.

I was thinking about a painting as the cover. But it doesn't have to be. Something like a house at night with one prominent light window. Or anything else you think appropriate.

Please help me. something with darkness, a window homeless, night, fire, watching, alleys.

PLEASE attempt to answer. and don't think I'm being lazin I've been searching for weeks but haven't found anything, I'm hoping some one will find comething that i couldn't

  1. Okay picture: A house with a light on. There's a silhouette of a man. In a corner or someone there's a woman in rags. She's looking wistfully into the window. She's stepping out of the dark alleyway, where you can see a newspaper bed, and some used canned food, and into the light of the window.

    Sorry, it's stupid. I just can't think. I don't know much about it, besides what you've told me. Good luck!

  2. because of copyright any images we give you could give you grief if your actually publishing it... if its just for school i found these;

  4. I like the front of the novel   DRACULA IN LONDON  you will have to look it up.

    Its a picture of a historical rich man walking down a street in London with a house with a light on in the window.

    I thought that looked really good.  Don't be fooled by the title its a great cover.

  5. Have your publisher use some Flemish painting done in the era.  I suggest a city scene.  If they can't use the actual paintings, they should be able to have a graphic artist whip up something appropriate.

  6. I agree with whoever is above me-- I think that you should have like a pix of an alley make it dark and make it so you can kinda see the window frame,

    For font do an old english font you know the ones i'm talking about? If you go to google and type in free fon'ts then most have old english as one of the choices, pick one of those.

    Hope this helps!

  7. i recommend some sort of cover showing the alley but also one tall building that stands apart from the rest of the city and it has a light on in the window and that is the prominent point of focus on the cover
