I'm the only guy at a junkyard that can do Tires as well as I can (I speak english). I don't want to be replaced with another guy if it turns out to be serious and requires time off but I suppose I cant worry about it until I get there. What about the job paying the bill is it workmans comp? The reason for my back pain is obviously the type of work that it is but they dont offer insurance either. Anyone have suggestions???

  1. Try alternating hot & cold packs. Explore the workmans comp option with your job, but I think there has to be an incident that caused the injury, not just something that was caused over time.

  2. My friend if you don't use the right equipment required by OSHA to work under this type of environment I dough you will get anything from workers-comp, you can try the patches there very good, and if you are so important like you say then complain to the owner and you will find out soon what they are willing to do for you or don't.

  3. Perhaps you can go an purchase some Pure Eucalyptus Oil place 2 caps full in a tub of warm to hot water soak for 15-30 minutes then rub some on you aching back.

If this doesn't work try soaking in some lavender oil this too has the same effects.

  4. I would try sleeping on your back on the floor.  I thin pillow when you do that under your head and elevate your feet slightly.  Remember that using proper lifting techniques will help immensely in helping alleviate the pain.  The cold and heat packs will help a little.  White willow bark tea is something you can drink although it is a little bitter.  And, although a bit strange sounding, you can try meditation.  There have been a few studies that meditation can help with pain management, though the studies haven't been on a huge scale.  Hope it helps.

  5. try accupuncture(dont need insurace for it,and its not too expensive), heated lotions available over the counter, sleep on your back, and when you are resting put your legs up so your feet are close to your behind, to take the pressure off your back, never sleep on the stomach, ever, when you lift anything, be careful how you do, not to put pressure on the back, and take painkillers for the pain.

  6. try sleeping on something hard and flat.  if you have a hard mattress that's good.  i knew a guy who slept on the floor to help relieve his back pain

  7. look up free health clinics in your area.  if you were actually hurt on the job workman's comp will pay for the doctor's visit.  you will have to go to their appointed doctor.

  8. elevate your legs at night, put a pillow underneath your legs it takes the pressure off of your back. also if you can get a heating pad those work really well too.
