  1. I'm not really sure about the tetanus shot , but I know that for the stitches you will probably get a shot , to numb your lips , while they are stitching.  I hope you feel better and good luck.

  2. base from experience you have to see the doctor for a tetanus shot, it hurts but its needed, you have to observe the dog for at least 10 days, if the dog got ill or die on that period its positively rabid and you have to get anti rabies vaccine. if possible have the keep the dog locked or keep it away from other animals, keep a close watch of the dog. if the dog undergo regular vaccination most likely you are safe from rabies.

  3. No, the tetnus shot doesn't really hurt. You just feel a little bruised at the injection site for a bit.

  4. Actually stitches don't hurt at all.

Take my word on it, I had 16 stitches on my forehead. I didn't feel a thing. They numb you.

    Don't worry. Relax.

    I hope I helped.

  5. You will be fine. The tetanus shot is like a vaccination, just a pinch. Stitches do not hurt because they numb you.

Have fun with the stitches, when you are shopping and you and another women eyeing the same thing. Just tell the lady what you will do for it and say, " you should see the person that tried to get this purse." if you cannot have fun with it, what can you do?

  6. Depending on how bad the bite is

they may not even stitch it

a dog bite is a "dirty" cut and if a cut is open for more than 12 hours the Doc's that I know will not stitch it.

the tetanus shot will make your arm feel like someone has punched it as the needle has to go into the muscle

it will help if you can relax your arm as much as possible

most people I know prefer to get the shot in the hip that way their arms do not hurt.

if they decide to stitch it they will freeze it

the needle for freezing can be uncomfortable

some times they use a numbing gel first so you do not feel the needle

it also depends on what Country you live in

where I live most Doc's use glue and tape now (unless the cut is huge)

so you will not have to get any needles

it might sting a bit though.
