  1. I think it's pretty low.  The egg can only survive about 24 hours.  Your best bet is to have s*x right before you ovulate since sperm has a longer live span - especially if you are making the right kind of cervical mucus.  I highly recommend reading up on cervical mucus.  It is necessary to get pregnant and an excellent sign of ovulation.

  2. You only ovulate on one day, but your fertile days (making love getting you pregnant) last the day of ovulation and the 4-5 days before that day.

Making love after the day of ovulation will not make you pregnant unless you miscalculated

  3. its hard to say and the calanders online are not always right and egg lasts for 24 hrs and sperm live for approx 3 days and it can take them at least an hr to reach the egg so it would depend on what time you oualted if you ovulated at the begining (12th) or late (18th) and what time etc etc etc good luck

  4. yes the recommedn you have s*x 3 days before ovulation and 3 days after good luck

  5. YES!  When I got pregnant with my little girl the same website told me I would be ovulating around the 13th of March!  Well, my husband's in the Navy and got home from deployment on the 19th and guess what!?  I am pregnant!  The doctor's confirmed that I probably just ovulated later!  It's very possible and you oughta just try ALL THE TIME!  lol.  Not every woman ovulates regularly every month!  Well, I wish you the best of luck!  I hope my answer has helped!

  6. You have a chance of getting pregnant at any time. I conceive the day after i ended my period with my daughter, the time i was told was hard to get pregnant. So really it just how ever  your body feels. Every body is different. Everyone always say if you don't use protection there is a chance and i think this is very true. I never tried to get pregnant so if you know the times its best to you prob have a better chance of doing so. Good Luck! Its so exciting!!!

  7. Yes it is quite possible to concieve any day during the menstrual cycle from day 1- 28 you are just more fertile during ovulation days.  The egg can stay alive for up to 48 hours sometmes more from ovulation, so that being said I keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

If you last tried on 8/19 and that is he day you think you got pregnant you should try to wait 14 days to do the pregnancy test at least on 9/02/08. Anyways 2 weeks after conception the hormone should be strong enough to show up on pregnancy test, if you get a negative retest in another 7 days. They have Clear-blue Easy test that is suppose to show up 5 days before missed period so try that on. ALso 1st response is suppose to be good, but I do not recommend it as I got 1 false and 1 positive the same day with that company. Good luck to you and I hope things work out for you.  You can buy a 2 pack test kit for about 10-15 bucks and take one 9/2/08 and if negative take 2nd test about 4-5 days prior to scheduled period date.

Sometimes waiting for the test to turn positive is the longest 3 minutes of your life. LOL We will both be peeing and hoping around the same time frame.

NOTE: Sometimes it can take 3 weeks for HCG hormone to be strong enough to make the result positive. It depends on your body. Also if you have taken any fertility medicine it can throw off the test and give you a false positive result. Good luck to you.
