I lost my canine tooth (top row, 3rd from the middle, on the left side) about 3-4 years ago. Right now it hurts me (it didnt hurt me until about 2 weeks ago)
there seems to be a nerve ending dangling from where my tooth once was. it really hurts and bothers me (i do not have a dental plan, im afraid of the cost)
i have been dabbing it with hydrogen peroxide, swishing with mouth wash or salt water, and brushing it, but it wont go away.
What is this thing? is it a nerve ending like i think it is? what can i do to get rid of it/make it stop hurting? why is it hurting all of a sudden? about how much money is the procedure to get rid of this? (also what is it called?)
(i am trying to avoid the dentist at all costs but will go if i really need to)
Any help is much appreciated, but i'd prefer a dentist, or someone that works in the dental profession, id also prefer sources if you have them.
thank you in advance.
