please help! this is the last question. and i promise i will never ask questions about this again just please help me?!?!?

How were humans, in some areas, able to transform their ways of living from hunting and gathering to the more complex forms of life of those in villages like Catal Huyuk and, later, the earliest cities? What geographic factors allowed for a more stable but more complex way of life?

Geographical factor --- water source, ie. rivers, oceans, lakes. All great civilizations were built near water. Water allowed nomadic people to settle down and create agricultural life lifestyles. Life became more complexed due to increasing trade that comes along with a stable community, (since your not going out and looking for it, items need to come to you) But all in all, water allows life and it did indeed help create a stable human civilizations. ( Sorry if I rambled I took cough syrup so I'm kind of falling asleep haha)

The rise of agriculture, breeding plants and animals for food versus hunting and gathering, allowed for concentrations of people and freed up time and labor for other productive pursuits.

    Geographic factors?  I don't know specifically about Catal Huyuk but I am going to guess the land was arable and there was a steady supply of water.

Humans transformed their ways of living to more complex strategies because their brains were evolving and making more logical decisions. For example, making a spear out of just a sharpened stick instead of an arrowhead because it conserved time and energy.

Mountains and canyons allowed for a more stable way of like because it created watering holes where most living creatures went to survive. Unfortunately it made life more complex because hunting took more energy to walk around.
