PLEASE answer I have a Pest question!!! INFESTATION??

I found this is my home tonight and I am terrified of bugs.

please look at the last picture (the bug on left hand side)

Could my home be infested.?Just seen one tonight. This was the first time. http://www.bio.umass.edu/biology/kunkel/Blattinae.html

That is a "chinese water bug" which is a close relative of the cockroach.  They are not quite as widespread or prolific as the cockroach, but once they find a food source inside your house, they will stay there until they have no more food.   I recommend that you clean your kitchen of all food scraps and look in the cabinets for any spilled food.  once you have cleaned up a little and they have no food they will go away to find a new food source.  Above all-   DONT FREAK OUT.  These bugs are common and cant hurt you... yes they are a little gross, but every 6 months or so I find one in the garage too...  you will know you are infested when you see many of them frequently.

You can also go to a petstore and buy a big bag of catnip... it is widely known as a natural roach repellent.... put some in the nooks and crannies around your house and it will keep them away.

If this is the first time,then no need to be afraid.But you must be careful weather it was a female one.If this is so,then it may be looking for some place to lay its eggs.So be careful or one day,you can find a colony of bugs at your home.
