  1. What about using hair spray on it to make it stay in one place?

  2. This is a hard one to do if you haven't got any experience in backcombing (teasing) hair... you almost need eyes in the back of your head.

I would suggest you go and have it done by a  professional do it and watch them put it up... I saw a previous answer above where they went in great detail and I know it's hard to understand when someone puts it into words... that why I am saying to find someone to show your.

    hope this helped:-)))

  3. maybe you could put water in it when you put it up like that, then put hairspray in it. it will probably not fall anymore.

    use more clips too maybe?

    :)

  4. You're going to need some volumizing mousse, hairspray (aerosol works best), a rattail or teasing comb, a paddle brush, and a lot of patience.

    1. While your hair is still damp from the shower, work in the mousse through the roots at the crown of your head.  Blow your hair dry with your head upside down.

    2. Once your hair is dry, take your rattail comb and use it to select a section of hair about 3 inches across and 1/2 inch wide at the crown of your head.  Backcomb this section until it's relatively poofy (Hold the section upright and comb from the ends to the roots).  This creates bulk and gives pins and clips something to grip.  Spritz this section lightly with hairspray.

    3. Moving toward your face, select the next 3 by 1/2 inch section right next to the previous one.  Backcomb and spray.  Continue moving toward your face, backcombing and spraying.  Don't forget to leave a small section of hair in the very front to smooth over your teased base.  Obviously, don't tease any bangs you may have!  Don't worry if you're starting to look like Amy Winehouse- you'll fix this in the next step.

    4. Take your brush and smooth the front section over your teasing.  You may want to use bobby pins for extra security along the way.

    5. Sometimes it gets frustrating trying to shape everything the way you want, but just be patient.  When brushing, don't push down all the way, you just want to catch the hair enough to pull it over the poof.  When everything is looking the way you want it to, go ahead and secure it with clips, etc.

    6. Spray, spray, spray.  Then just tidy up any spots that look a little rough.

So basically, the trick to preventing the separation bit is to create a good, teased base.

Tip: To get the teasing out of your hair, wet it, work a glob of conditioner into it, and use a wide toothed comb to detangle.  Always start from the bottom and work your way up or you will create bigger snags that are nearly impossible to get out.

Tip: you're probably going to want to try this while you're sitting at home one day.  Just practice it a couple of times before you wear it out.  Whenever I try new hair styles for the first time right before I go out, I usually get really stressed.  Especially with this style, practice first!

Good luck- and if you run into any problems, don't hesitate to message me!
