Hello My name is Angela and I am 12 years old, I am thin, but I still have a tummy, and especially when I sit down. Its not huge, but its 0k

I was wondering-- what is the normal weight of a 12 year old girl who is approximately 5'3??? what jean size (in juniors) should I be able to fit

into? I currently wear a 9. And ps, I am developing a shape, so don't say something stupid, such as, oh your fat and you should wear a size 0 or 3/4. Any answers like that will be reported. Oh and ONE more thing, I drink alot of water, but I dont know exactally what would be the best exercise I should do to help me lose weight faster. I really can't run, because my mom is really overly protective and she won't let me because of strangers. She is bringing me home a Mc'Flurry from Mc' Donalds, so is that too bad???? is it ok for me to have them once in a while???? THANKS!

Ohmygod I am scared I read this and My name is Angela I am 12 I am thin and I have a tummy too I am 5'3/ 5'4 but I'm not sure what jean size I wear but I have these pants from Abercrombie that are 2  but I'm not sure if that's what I am in other stuff probably not cause I have large hips too. I eat mcflurry's once and a while and other junk food too. I play volleyball!! I am also starting gymnastics and I have a swimming pool and trampoline so it does look like I am a little more active but that's nothing you can't help. You could sign up for other sports you like just for fun like I am doing gymnastics I hope to go onto competition eventually but for now I just want to have fun. I answered this question because we are so alike I was kinda scared.

    Please, please, don't worry about your weight! You're 12. This is not to say that you are young or immature, this is just to say that as a female, your body will be changing quite a bit for quite a while. Your weight, frame, muscle mass and body fat will change more quickly than you can keep up with!

    Focus on being healthy for now. If you're not comfortable with your size, make sure that everything you are eating is on the food pyramid. Replace salty snacks with fruits and vegetables, eat a lot less dairy, and make sure your proteins are lean and your carbs fiber-filled! Also, incorporate exercise into everything. Dance around your room so you can look silly when no one is looking. Do chores-- it'll make your parents happy and it's a big calorie-burner! Make sure you spend lunch period running around with your friends rather than just sitting and talking. My friends and I used to walk the track while we talked just to feel good.

    In the end, the "healthy weight ragne" for middle schoolers is very large, considering all the different body types and all the changes. Forget about numbers. Jean size, dress size, weight, doesn't mean anything. They're really arbitrary numbers. What you should worry about is feeling good, and feeling good about how you look.

  4. There is no exact weight but and average for a girl your age and height is about 95-125 pounds. Size any where from a 0 to an 8 I suggest just these tips to stay healthy and lose weight but you don't need to lose that much it sounds like

    ~eat only when you are hungry don't eat when your bored or not hungry and stop eating once you are full.

    ~To burn some of the calories you can run but since your mom is worried you can dance in a warm room for an hour for instance when you are ready to workout turn off the fan and the a/c to your room then turn on the radio or your iPod for 1 hour really dancing hard not just sitting around

    ~keep drinking the water you drink it will really keep you healthy and hydrated

    ~and as far as the mcflurry goes you can eat things like that every once in a while just don't eat it everyday I mean you don't need to deprive yourself of things you love just eat them in moderation. ;)

  6. You should know that your weight depends on your height and the build of your body. If you're twelve, I think you may grow a bit taller. The thing you left out was how much you weigh, because that kind of matters. To me, a size 9 is big. But it depends, maybe you have big hips? I don't know. The BEST exercise to lose weight is cardio and aerobics. Anything tht gets you sweating and that lasts for at least 30-45 minutes. You will burn the calories and lose weight. And yeah it's ok for her to bring you a mcflurry once in a while, but if you want to lose weight you have no business having a mc flurry. But keep this in mind: if you exercise regularly you can literally eat whatever you want because you will be constantly burning it. But hey, don't over do it. Good luck!
