Hi. My brother and i (we're both guys) have always wanted to grow our hair out since we were transferred to a public school (yay!) and now it's almost first day. We had the same length and different hair qualities (I have thick hair and he has fine straight hair) Today (just right now) i had a hair stylist cut my hair a little and style it to be more straight so that it would be easier to fix my hair. I got that cool japanese pop star kinda hair. Then my mom and grandma force my bro to get a hair cut too. He was crying and junk at first. But I helped my mom by telling him i'd be watching if it were getting too short. The stylist cut his bangs to short and he looks like some short haired guy. He's screaming right now that he looks "ugly". I feel bad somehow cause I'm the reason he wants long hair. I am his role model. I'm scared that he might be anti-social and junk like before. He's 8 so i feel bad that i made him so worried about his appearance. When i was his age.. I had a semi bald hairstyle and i had a fun time. I'm scared that i'm ruining his childhood. Help me... how can i cheer him up? :(

  1. It is onlt hair and it grows back, not like he lost what was cut forever.

  2. Buy him a cool baseball cap and tell your brother his hair WILL grow back. Or take him into the bathroom and help him to try and style it a different way that he likes. Use a styling product like mousse. Its great for fine thin hair. Experiment all different ways and try to have fun doing it... he'll feel less anti social if he has a new cool hairdo.
