my friend got arrested down at the beach & he has tried to call me a couple of times. im dying to talk to him because im the only one that has the money to bail him out. but the problem is i dont have a credit card & both times he's called theyve hung up when i said i didnt have a credit card to accept charges on. what the h**l? why cant he make like a five minute phone call to let me know how much i need to take with me to bail him out!? ive looked all over the website of the correctional facility but i cant find him on there to see what his bond is. he's not a bad guy but he made a couple mistakes that he's deff having to pay for now. is there anyway i can call him or him call me without having to use a credit card???

  1. Call the county jail he's at and ask them and they should tell you, if not, then call the nearest (around the facility) bail bondsman and tell them that you are willing to bail out your friend and what is the procedure. They will call correctional facility directly and get you the information you need.

  2. I would suggest calling the correctional facility in question and making arrangements to pay the bail in person.  You will more than likely have to make payment at the bail bond agency that your friend has chosen to use.  They, almost always, accept credit cards.  The agency will be able to tell you how to deliver the bail money to the correction facility.

  3. You can call the correctional facility that he is at and ask them what his bond amount is. You don't need to speak to him directly. Call the jail, find out where you pay his bond, and then you can go pick him up when he is released.

  4. Well, all I can say is, there's nothing you can do unless you actually go down to the jail and bail him out.

  5. The only phone access the inmates have are payphones, so there are no incoming calls and outgoing calls must be prepaid.

Try the government pages of your phone book, or stop by in person if you want to know his bail.

  6. Tell him to call you collect.

  7. Yes.

Call the shift supervisor, ask if you can speak to the inmate while he monitors in for for bail.

Explain the circumstances behind the above.

A supervisor can get the inmate a phone call outside of normal channels.

The inmate had an original call to one person free by law so?

The call came to you and a caller ID number should show you where to return the call to or what facility?
