please help me with my hamsters cage! it is too small for her. can you please tell me a cheap way to expand this cage? i mean with tubes. and i will add another sleeping area. Thanks! http://s374.photobucket.com/albums/oo186/InFamous6121/?action=view&current=PICT0614.jpg

This is the cage i was thinking on expanding it with: http://www.petco.com/product/11499/Super-Pet-CritterTrail-Two.aspx

The only question is: she is a syrian as you could see in my picture so would she get stuck in the tubes?

  1. i think you can make a big cage by yoursefl .and you should make it by boombe

do you know boombe ? i think it's cheaper than cage which you buy in shop

  2. Oh goodness your cage is TINY!! Its good you're getting a new one. I've heard some bad things about critter trails mainly the tubes are easy to break during assembly, but I've never personally used one.

I recommend getting a Sam or a Habitrail, I've used both these brands and they are very sturdy and last long. A small 10 gallon aquarium would also work well just make sure you have a mesh or wire top for it. They cost about $10 at most pet stores and are roomy enough to add a bunch of nifty toys and things for you little hamham to climb and chew on.

The tubes should be fine since most hamster cages are made for syrians unless specifically said to be made for dwarf hamster or mice. Most tubes save for the habitrail mini tubes should be plenty large enough for even a fat syrian.

Hope this helped and good luck!! <3

  3. just add another plastic container, (have a tube going to it with an open end) that's what i do

  4. is that cedar bedding? it is toxic to small animals
