PLEASE help with GIMP!!! PLEASE ?

Ok i am using GIMP and i am putting a horse on a backround of a moon and i want to make the horse smaller and not as big!!! how do i do that?? PLEASE help i really need it!!!!!!

After pasting your "horse" use the scale tool. The scale tool is a icon with a small rectangle on the top left corner of a larger rectangle
