PLEASE listen to my beat and judge ?

I want to be a music producer and I'm trying to find out where I stand and where my skill level is. So can you tell me if you like it and what needs to be improved. I know the timing isn't all on point but it's just a sample. At this point I don't know what else to add to it. It seems like if I add anything else it would be too much.

To the beat makers: Have you ever had this problem where you try to make a certain type of beat but it sounds like something different? I try to make R&B beats but they end up sounding like a rap beat. I don't know if it's the instruments I'm using or what.
