ok heres the deal. ill try to keep it short. i want to be a record prodcuer. i got a "job" assisting a producer. thing is, i dont like working for people and hes asking me to do things like drive 50 miles to meet him and his client somewhere and i dont want to.

hes having me do technical, which i absolutely hate. another thing is, him and his clients are all over 40 year old. im 22. him and his clients havent scored one hit song since theyve been working.

am i wasting me time? should I go on my own and try to make it.

the client does have a few connections that mite make it worth it. and i aslo want to start and run a record label. i dont care how the industries changed, i just wanna work for myself. please give me some advice. thanks

  1. Go for it. your still young and it sounds like you have put alot of thought into it. not that i am doubting your plans but just make your u have a back up plan in case somthing falls through.

    :) Good Luck.

  2. If you don't like the job,QUIT! You are young enough to be able take some risk. Just remember to get some experience before you leave!
