  1. Dundrum in Dublin. Suburban town with the largest shopping centre in Europe. A view of the wicklow mountains. Affordable housing and great people, and only 10 minutes from the heart of the city. I live here, it's great !

  2. Dublin , fun place, fun people .

  3. Like the others have said, Dublin and Galway.

    Galway's lovely!!

    Dublin can be very touristy.

I could suggest a few other areas but I'm not sure what kind of music you mean and they mightn't be the best for a younger crowd!

  4. Well Cork has really started to evolve over the last few years and is the second biggest city in Ireland now. Theres lots of shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and apartments going up everywhere now. There are plenty of apartments to choose from in the city and there are quite a few suburban apartments around now too. Cork also has a great 18 route bus service. As for scenery you are never more than 15-20 minute drive from the country and there are great waterfront walks in the suburbs. Theres also an airport here if you need to go home. the music scene in Cork is amazing every year during the summer theres a music festival called Live at the Marquee where some fantastic acts are coming this year (Dolly Parton and Jay-Z and many more) there is also a really good music scene in clubs aswell. A new Cork band on the rise is called Fred check them out on http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId...

I hope this helps answer your question!

  5. If you want a lively city and not be too far from the country too then maybe Galway.

  6. Well for a younger person I'd say stay close to a city, because in the country can get kind of boring, Dublin can be fairly fun, but you wouldnt want to live in the city! In the suburbs (which can be fairly expensive) or is you dont mind travelling much outside the city, like Wicklow or Kildare or something, close to the city but still quiet and scenic.

  7. Galway.. Hands down the best city to be found...
