IF this is a family emergency, most airlines will give you discounts if a family member has been hurt or is dying,you need to be able to document this.  I finally got $2700. 00 off the tickets I bought when my mom was dying.  It is called &quot;Bereavemnt Fares&quot;  Best of luck.
