PLEASEEE help part time job.. dilemma!!!

Hey guys soo I was just wondering..How many hours is a part time job?

I got a job at a fabric store.. I mean I am just really a sales person... when I applied I especificly said that I was looking for a part time..... at the beginning it was fine.. they generally make me work 21 hours during the week.. and my shifts where either of 6 hours or less... which is perfect.. but now they are giving me like 30 hours during the week! and I get shifts of 8 hours .. which are usually ment for the fulltime staff..! I am going to talk to my manager tomorrow.. but I just really wanted to know how many hours is a part time job.. .. I live in canada.. if that makes any difference.

I KNOW WRONG CATEGORY.. but I know that If I put it in another section.. I wont get ANY answers..

If you work 40 hours a week, then you are considered full time. Anything below 40 hours can be considered part time. Anything above 40 hours, you can get overtime, with time and half. However, if you signed up as part time, then you can request for overtime for part time. Just make sure to be cordial when you address the situation and that thy are not s******g you over.

part time is anyting less then 40 hours a week.. yea you can have 8 hour shifts..i wouldnt complian you could get fired

Part time is anything less than 32 hours. At least in the US it is.
