  1. trust me food alone with go as high as 600 to 700 per month, water, gas, electric will prolly get u around 150 to 200 combined, i think sdsu will offer free public transit... 3000 is good enough to survive in sd

  2. go to signonsandiego.com and check out rental prices in the classifieds

    Where is del cerro

  3. MORE

  4. i live in san diego and i can tell you plan on getting a second job if your income is 3000 per month.

if your rent is 1200 per month you are in a slum plan on more like 1600

utilities will cost you 100.00 per month not counting cable tv

food if you eat cheap and don't go out you can get by on 800 or so for two people.

a one month bus pass is 50.00 per person.

you can't go out for an evening without dropping 100.00

    good luck to you.

  5. San diego is expensive, but there are a lot of little places that you an go to cut costs. Bills can be anywhere from $200 to $300 depending on what your landlord will cover. Public transportations is about $60 a month for a bus and trolley pass. (My dad works for the bus company) Food, if you bargain shop it should not be too bad for two people.

Entertainment in a place like San Diego is a cinch. There are so many thing to do that are low or no cost like taking a bus trip to the beach. I personally like Imperial, although that is further south.

Goodluck and enjoy the stay. Great area and great college.

  6. you're talkin california? ALOT of money honey.

  7. Haha god bless America. That made me laugh.

Okay well I can't answer for all of these. But I can for some.

    1. Del Cerro is a relatively nice area. My best friend lives in San Carlos which is a bordering little town. It's mostly middle class with some upper middle. I like it there.

    4. Well there are the buses and the trolley. A monthly pass for an adult is $64; it covers the buses and the trolley. You will probably need a car to drive yourself to a trolley station because there is no trolley station that goes through Del Cerro. And the buses run like every 30 mins. But I do think taking the trolley is a good idea because the parking at SDSU really sucks. It's so busy there during class hours it's crazy!

  8. San Diego is a BIG city...who knows how much it will cost two of you to live there....if you aren't given enough, work and earn more...
