  1. i don't think you have anything to worry about

  2. dont worry about it- your catss are just expericing each other. they still have to cope with one anothers furry backs. haha

  3. You should never introduce a new cat before having it checked by the vet. It could be URI or allergies. Only your vet can determine the exact cause. Have the cat examined and tested for FIV ASAP. If anything contagious  is found, the other cat will need to be treated as well.

  4. It is common for one cat to pass on an upper respitory infection to another.  How did you acquire your new cat?  Was she adopted off of the street or a shelter or another party?  The one real danger is if the other cat should have feline leukemia and pass it onto a healthy one and not be vaccinated for it.  A healthy cat can turn bad quickly!  I would suggest a trip to the vet for both cats and up to date shots.  If you are lucky, the vet may only need to

    prescribe antiobiotics.

We had a stray one time and she had an upper respitory infection.  We kept her in quarantine.  When I asked the vet if she could be introduced to the other cats we had, she said yes as the antibiotics were to have taken effect after a few days, but we were wrong and it infected the other 5 cats we had and I had to give them all medication at the same time and that was not cheap to the tune of another $80. later!!!  In hind site I would have made sure that the cat was perfectly healthy before it was introduced at all.
