When I connect my PC to my Sony Bravia HDTV with a HDMI cable, I notice that all the graphics on the screen have wierd sharp white edges. These edges are every where even on the mouse pointer. During this time the resolution is 1080P and my PC has 8800 GT card. Strangely all the videos run fine. Only on the desktop and games dose the white edges appear and ruin the picture quality. The HDMI cable is of the highest quality aswell. So please tell me what I need to do to fix this wierd issue ??? thanks

  1. Try another resolution, say 1080i or 720p.

Or, for 1080p, check if your TV has a 1:1 (pixel to pixel) mode. If you don't use 1:1 mode, the TV will overscan the input, which may create those subtle scaling artifacts.

  2. could be your desktop connector.

    Solution

connect any other pc to the tv and cross check
