  1. ok if there to tight put wax on them (the stuff you buy for braces not candle wax) and then they should feel a Little better and if that dosent work go back to ur ortho and get them fixed

  2. OMG.... I know that can be so painful!

Just try taking one or two tylenol or aspirin for the pain. Try and have liquid or soft food for a while, like soup or yogurt. Chewing tough food only makes the pain worse!

  3. Well Im Not Sure About What Happens With The Bands

    I Never Had Them

But If Its The Front Braces Hurting Try Putting Your Nail Under Them And Sort Of Flicking

Sorry I Wasnt Of Much Assistance

    xx

  4. go to the denist. they can prescribe something

  5. Just tough it out, the pain should pass in a few days after you get used to the new tightness.  If it's been more than week since the tightening have a parent call the orthodontist.  I had braces for 4 years and was in agony every time they got tightened.  You should be feeling better pretty soon, eat soft foods until then, take an advil, you'll be fine.  Until the next tightening that is.

  6. the same thing happens to me. just take some painkillers and only eat soft foods or soup :D

  7. take moltrin or tylenol i have tht pain to i have to wear the elastics and all tht to they olny hurt b cuz they r moving the jaw bak into place so u can ice ur cheek or take tylenol or moltrin!!! tht is wat i do! e mail me and tel me if i was any help my e mail is tomandjerry345623@yahoo.com!!!

  8. Advil or Tylenol should help for the pain.  Soft foods and cold milkshakes will help.

The discomfort will go away soon, once your teeth get used to being in a new position.

A tip is to take Advil or Tylenol a half hour before you go to the orthodontist the next visit and keep taking the medicine at regular intervals for the first few days.  And...ask your mom to make spaghetti or chicken noodle soup for dinner.

  9. Did they tighten your braces, or go to a heavier wire?  Mostly, I would just take some Tylenol or Advil (I prefer advil) and take it easy on what you are eating.  It will be uncomfortable for a few days ago, until your teeth adjust.  Also, a little bit of wax helps if the wire is digging into your mouth.  If it is unbearable, go bach to the orthodontist and make sure you didn't have any allergic reactions to anything.  (I had all kinds of allergy problems with my braces.)  Good luck and hope you are feeling better soon!

  10. It's such a horrible achey pain, isn't it? There's not a lot you can do besides take a painkiller or two, but even that doesn't help in some cases. Remember to eat soft and liquidy foods such as pasta and soup and avoid any hard, solid, chunky foods that require biting down hard on them because, believe me, it hurts more than anything! I know what kind of pain you're in right now but it'll settle in a few days time, I promise!

  11. Advil is wonderful for that stuff. Until you bite into something again. I had braces for Five years and absolutely dreaded when they tightened them. it will go away in abut 3 to 4 days In the mean time I would suggest advil and to eat go with Spaghetti.

    Good luck

  12. lol yes ii currently have braces now..and ii hate that..actually i'm getting htem tightened on teh day that i'm going to Mandarin..ughh :P

but all you can do is wait..

to ease the pain..don't bite hard

just keep your mouth still is the best you can do until like 3 days it'll be better.

  13. ooooh...i kno how that feels...what i did...was i ate ice cream...if you're lactose intolerent try making snow cones or sorbet...

the ice coldness numbed my pain so it felt MUCH better...

then i took advil then if it hurts again i drink ICE cold water

    and repeat
