  1. I think it has to do with straining and relaxing.  Do a search for "Bates method".

  2. It just means that you can control your focusing, which we refer to as accommodation.  Since it is voluntary you should NOT be doing it during an eye test.  Doing so will probably result in your being given drops, waiting around the office for another 25 minutes, and not liking all of the extra time and testing to simply temporarily relax your focusing muscles.  This will leave you blurry for the next few hours and as a side-effect your pupils will be dilated leaving you sensitive to bright lights.

  3. you could look at it as a gift.

how you choose to use it is up to you

  4. I can do that too, I haven't got a clue why.

Although it has started to affect my normal eyesight now, and I squint a lot to see things, so I would say it's probably not a great idea lol.

  5. Am i the only one who notices that you're just switching the focus of your eyes between far and near objects...?

As for blurring your eyes on command.. you're crossing them.

Look at the detail of the glass only when you're driving your car and then switch it up to look on the scenery outside.. this is focusing your eyes...... wow.

  6. that's kind of cool....have you ever looked at one of those pictures that you can only see an image in it after you've stared at it for awhile? I think that is kind of the same things that my eyes do when I am getting the image in focus. Maybe you just have really good eye control.

  7. woahh. and i thought i was the only one. that is soo weird. i noticed in about 2nd grade that i could do that with close up objects such as books and stuff. and i can still do it, but when i do, it takes a while to get.. unblurry again. and then if i try on a pair of reading glasses while their blurred, i can see a lot better. i'm not sure how it works, but don't worry. your not the only one.

  8. It means you should probably switch your medication!
