PLease tell me my NORMAL SPHERICAL contact lens prescription from the following information

ok i got my contact lens prescription today and i want you to "decipher " it for me and tell me what my values should be for normal spherical contact lenses for each eye (even though i need toric lenses, the doctor said normal lenses will do fine...so please decipher the following and give me my normal contact lens prescription so i can buy online).

on one receipt in doctor's own writing is the following info(exactly as it appears):

R -3.50 -0.50 x 90---->6/6

L -3.75 -0.75 x 90---->6/6

Then on another small computerized receipt is the following values (EXACTLY as it appears on this second receipt and it looks like its from a machine used to test my eyes):

so thats all the information in the 2 receipts...so please can you tell me my prescription for normal lenses and toric lenses for both eyes so i can buy them online..thanks!!

If &quot; normal&quot; lenses will do fine, then he should have given you a prescription for it.

You can&#039;t order any power that you don&#039;t have a specific prescription for, including the brand of lenses written on it.

The handwritten prescription isn&#039;t made out for torics, or spherical either. Torics don&#039;t come in that - 0.50  you have on the right.

You best go back to the Dr. to get a proper finalized prescription for contacts.

First, the computer print out is not your actual prescription but an objective assessment from which your doctor will get an idea of what your prescription may be. Your actual prescription is the hand written one by the doctor which is:

Rt Eye: -3.50 -0.50x90

Lt Eye: -3.75 -0.75x90

From the above your spherical equivalent will be

For right eye, -3.75 and Left eye, -4.00.

Your corneal curvature is spherical  RE: 7.75mm and LE 7.71mm which makes your astigmatism internal astigmatism. A toric contact lens is not necessary as your astigmatism is relatively of small magnitude(&lt; 1.00). Therefore, a spherical equivalent(R:-3.75; L: -4.00) will give you the same visual acuity as your spectacle.

None of these are contact lens prescriptions.  A contact lens prescription will include a brand name, power, diameter and base curve.

You need to see a contact lens fitter to have a contact lens fitting and get a contact lens prescription.
