PLum Treez??

Ok, so i live in ohio near cleveland and in our backyard we have these little trees... my mo m said that they are called Flowering PLum Trees and they have little fruits on them that are like half of my thumb my q is... can i eat them and if i can r they yummalicios

I eat them every year and they are wonderful. Small, and near the seed rather sour. but the part near the outside is very good.

They also make great plum jelly.
