Question

How can anyone stand by the decision of Palin to thrust her family into the media (right or wrong)? Knowing her daughters pregnancy would be an issue (once again-right or wrong)...When deciding a persons charachter, doesn't this seem offensive? Although, I don't care for McCains policies....I can at least say I respect him.

I find it some what interesting that a family that wants to replace s*x education in schools with abstinence only education has a 17 year old expecting.  Thank god she doesn’t have a killer STD.

Bush Won the Election (barely) in 2000 in part, on the grounds of His "morality & character..." In a World (& in Life) that doesn't always "abide" by such "shifting sands" (for Values DO- change over Time...); how IMPORTANT are those Characteristics- when compared with the Ability it TAKES- to RUN a Country ??! MY feeling is: I DON'T CARE about what my Bus Driver's "morals" are...- I just want Him to get me across the City on Time & in ONE PIECE... !  :0  And right now, I think Obama would be the "Bus Driver" I'd choose- to get the Country safely across the next 4 years & whatever happens along the way...  :)

Who are you to decide whether she made the right decision, a woman can´t be VP and have a family too?  We don´t live in glass houses...Everyone has family issues...

The media and the left-wing bloggers thrust her family into the spotlight, let's be honest here.

Yes, she should have known there was a chance the story would break, a good chance, but even so, there's been a general rule that children under 18 are generally off-limits. She might have suspected privacy for her family and focus on, I don't know, her actual policy stances.

Palin didn't thrust her daughter into the news. It is the left wing liberal bias media that has done that. There is not a scandal to get pregnant at 17. The only scandal would have been if Palin took her daughter for an abortion.

This has become a scandal because Sarah Palin is a goody two shoes who supports abstinence.  If she cannot even enforce her beliefs on her family, what makes you think her preaching will do for the rest of America?  Heck, it is believed that Palin, herself, may have been pregnant before she got married, since she gave birth about 8 months after the marriage.  It's the hypocrisy of the Republicans that has made this a bigger story.
