I had a friend who thought that this is just the planet's natural warming trend that we aren't really causing it.

Yes, they are called smart people - people who recognize that according to the UN there's been no increase in temperature in the last ten years, people who understand geologic time, who understand what an intergalacial period is, people who understand physics and the relationship between solar activity and surface temperature, people who recognize that Al Gore had to steal a computer genrated picuture from a fictional movie to support his "crockumentary"

I don't believe global warming exists. If you look back far enough you could find FERNS!!! in Alaska. We are going through a repeating cycle that will never end till the end of Earth. In the 1800's there was a higher temperature but they didn't have factories our nuclear plants. Also there was a miniature Ice age in the 1700's.

Ok runwiththebull, it seems that you didnt learn much in those basic classes of yours, because a smart person would have realized that global warming does exist, and geologic history alone with a very basic level of astronomy would make you realize this.

It seems these are the same people that don't "believe" in evolution either.  Both of these topics are reinforced by hard science and people that just blatantly refuse to accept these theories are jeopardizing America's scientific integrity and longevity.
