  3. i can name 5 in the usa. but in the world. the alps in europe. the himalayas in asia, the atlas mountains in africa, the andes in south america, the rockys in north america, the appalachains in north america, the sierra nevada in north america, the cascades in north america, the Adirondacks in north america. that's 10 pick out your 5.

I can name five mountain groups in the US alone: Adirondacks, Blue Ridge, Ozarks, Allegheny, Cascades and can keep going for quite a while where the world is concerned.  Not a very difficult geography question, I suppose the only trick is whether subdivisions of a larger range (say, the appalachians, which I have used for my answer) are acceptable.

    Karakoram, includes many of the worlds highest peaks and many of the world's longest glaciers..

    Alps,Has numerous peaks over 12.000 feet, with Mont Blanc highest at 15,771 feet..
