very unfortunately...yes!  when i was a teenager - for....dropping a hamburger wrapper outside of a nightclub & refusing to pick it up.....even worse...it went to court & the police had the hamburger wrapper in court....it measured 6 x 6 inches.....& then, i didn't pay the fine...so the magistrate sentenced me to 7 days prison!!

my parents paid the fine & i didn't go to prison....i was amazed - but i didn't have money for the fine at that time....still, that's British justice...i was a bit of a criminal!! - lol!!  true story!

I have never been arrested by the police or picked up by them, for any reason. My idea on this, is that if you don't break any laws, then you don't ever have to worry about any of this.

MIP & Failure to ID.  The Failure to ID is what got me arrested.  My best friend & I (both 20 at the time) were at a party & working on our first beer, when I said I needed to smoke a cig outside.  So we get outside (w/our beers...stupid, I know) & here comes a little bicycle cop, outta NO WHERE, like the Wicked Witch of the West!  We gave him fake birthdates & he called it in to dispatch.  Needless to say, there was no one by my name who was 21 or over.  So, my bf & I spent 2 hours in the same jail cell, and what SUCKED was that we weren't even BUZZED!  I know that's such a minor offense, but I (unfortunately) can say that I was arrested.

DON'T LIE TO A POLICE OFFICER!!!  It's an automatic arrest.  Booooo.  :-)

Yes 13 hours in a police cell without a ciggie. If I'd been a heroin addict they would've given me methadone. Apparently nicotine addiction doesn't count.

When I was 13 or 14 and my 'friend' put things in my bag to shoplift. The camera showed her doing it. Was scary being arrested so didn't do anything again. Learnt my lesson.

I was once with my exhusband in a department store and picked up some tights, then forgot I had them in my hand as we walked out, so I screamed and ran back into the store to pay for them lol

I think they should be tough with children, as it stopped me doing anything again, to my almost angelic lifestyle I now have lol.

No never but my 2 naughty brothers have been arrested, usually because my eldest gets stupidly drunk! And the youngest gets in trouble when trying to keep this brother out of trouble, but then they both end up copping it! Brothers eh! lol.
