What a great question. I do it so often !! I just hope that I can keep my fears hidden, so I never have to face them, but I have found that I can only do that for for so long with some things.

I have a secret place but not to hide from my fears but to meditate. There is a clearing in the cedar trees at the back of my property it is a good place to go and collect my thoughts.

my dad drives a lot when he needs to get away from it all. His job is very stressful and i have depression, so when i go into those moods and cause havoc in the house he doesn't feel like dealing with anything so he just takes like a ten minute drive around the neighborhood and comes back all calm. I don't think theres anything wrong with it. I do that too sometimes. Except i go for bike rides or through the woods in my backyard. Try to make it an excersize of some sort. The endorphines really help. Like for serious.

all the time, by doing things that i don;t have to face up to harsh facts. That way i get some measure of protection from a very cruel world.
