Obviously, 'buffet' has the broad selection implied in its name. Unfortunately, a lot of buffet places reheat old food. If Mandarin's has a good reputation and you've checked it out, go there. But I would think that the steak place probably has a varied menu, too.

By the way: the Winchester Steak House in Buffalo, Wyoming is really good (this assumes that you're within 100 miles or so of Buffalo, WY.)
