Interesting question (hence the star I just gave you). I think people contributed because it is rare that you have the opportunity to get your view across to someone with genuine influence. However, your question asked why did people give it a star (a worthless token of endorsement). In this case I think it was a case of sycophancy towards a celebrity questioner. The question was interesting but not that interesting.

There are some sickening sycophants on here! Some people crawl up to every celebrity questioner. And of course, if you post anything even remotely critical, Yahoo pounce like wolves!

Also. I can't help but note that the question went to the vote. Having got her burst of free publicity she could not be bothered to read through all the answers and pick a winner- I suspect many celebs do that, so those people who answer because they feel it is a chance to 'communicate' directly with a famous person are in for a disappointment!

As of the Question,the answer can be thought in many different ways.First of all the people would have starred the Question as it is very rare to find a Celibrity or a VIP asking a Question here.Many users would normally star the Question as it was asked by an Official person.

Secondly the Question has been to a vote.So it would have accumulated even more Stars there while in voting.Some of them would have actually felt the Question interesting as we can see from the detailed and descriptive answers over there!

So its both the ways we can see,that the Question has accumulated that many Stars!
