POLL: UC Berkeley or USC? And why?

FYI- I'm looking into majoring in creative writing/english, but wanted to see what about these two schools (aside from name) was appealing to other people.

oh god, not USC, it's simply a private, elite, privileged rich kids, cliquish school.  It's not even a "good" school, just pricey and pompous.
