I want to "learn" an accent. I think it'd be fun! I have a very generic American accent; I don't pronounce certain words differently (e.g., people with new york and boston accents skip the 'r' sound a bit or switch it to an 'ah' or 'h' sound; southerners make their 'r' s sound like 'uh')
Side story about accents/My reason to want one:
A few years ago, my manager and two of her friends went to a cafe and her friends saw a guy they used to work with. "Oh no, I hope he doesn't see us!" "He was such a creep!" the friends said; but alas, he saw them and came over. My manager, who had never met the guy, whipped out her favorite small-country-town-girl-accent (her "Fargo" accent) and procceded to annoy the heck out of the creep and thus keep him away.
