From 1776 till now....I'd say New York.....Philly has alot but New York is loaded.

I would saw New York City but only because it seems the oldest of the 3. My first thought was Salem, Mass. But of those 3 I would think NYC, it's even been renamed a few times hasn't it?

I would also suggest thinking outside the box, and recommending Santa Fe, NM. It's the oldest city that is a state capital. It is far older and has seen more history than any of the three listed.

I would say Chicago, IL.  The All Time Roaring 20's, The St. Valentines Day Massacre,Elliot Nest, Al Capone, BabyFace Nelson, ScarFace, John Dillinger, (in fact all the well known Gangsters), the Chicago Fire, Well-known Entertainers, Popular Lakes, Dan Ryan Expressway, Sports Teams, the industries (US Steel) and much more.
