I am voting for Obama, and I am excited for him to become President.  Obama is going to focus on the large issues, ending the war responsibly, spend our tax money to improve life in the US, have universal health care I could go on.  

With the good, there is always some bad.  I think that having a black President is a great step, a way to prove just how far we have come.  However, people such as Jesse Jackson will go on and on about how great it is and then you will have white supremacy groups in an uproar because they don't understand that it is not about the color of your skin, it is about your ability.  I think that these two extremely different groups of people are going to clash hardcore.

The bottom drops out of the stock market.

It's beginning already.  

Return on standard Certificates of Deposit are about 1/3 to 1/2 lower than they were a year ago.  

That means that nobody is making plans to borrow money to expand their business, buy new equipment or hire new people.

If they're not expanding their businesses, those are construction jobs out the window.

If they're not buying new equipment, those are manufacturing jobs - gone.

Also retail jobs, repair jobs, delivery and installation jobs.

Since none of those folks have jobs, they have no money to spend, so the shops in their communities lose business, cut their orders for goods, and the effect ripples through the entire economy.

One of those lost jobs may be yours.

Welcome to Obama-land.

The only HOPE is that it is limited to four years.
