The largest "land bound" bird is the Ostrich.

The largest flying bird is the Northern Species of Condor, which is 5 cm longer, from beak to tail, than than the Andean Condor..

Prior to its extinction (not that long ago) the largest bird was the Elephant Bird of Madagascar.

So, the largest living Aves on earth is presently the Ostrich, if you are referring to height, length and weight...

The American harpy eagle is generally considered to be the largest predatory bird although there are a couple near its size. (Ostrich is a  flightless bird, their feathers aren't like a birds either, shaggy and doesn't have an oil gland to preen their feathers)
