  14. i tell you I really like roses but there is a scent out there that many have not ever smelled and that is Holly flowers! Which go on to become those red berries that you sometimes see for Christmas decorations. Those flowers put out an scent that is hard to describe. Its like the smell of a Juicy Fruit gum factory and it last for a few weeks and the bees go crazy for those flowers! My parents have these two Holly Trees one male and one female and they are something else!

  15. For me, the perfect summer fragrance is nicotiana (flowering tobacco). It is the gentle enveloping smell of a summer evening.

I also love fragrant viburnum in the spring - it is the smell that tells me that spring is here and summer is round the corner.

  16. Sweetpea ... they have the most wonderful fragrance. They have such a short season in my climate, but I love them so much, I plant them anyway. They do well as cut flowers in vases in the house too, and their perfume lasts ... it's subtle and not overpowering, but so romantic and alluring.

The rest of the year, I'm fond of fragrant roses, or jasmine.
