But I did grip the armrests and sing in my head when I was on a plane that was landing in a storm... We couldn't see the runway till we felt the tyres hit it. When the plane finally halted on the tarmac, people cheered.

I've read this question a couple of times now trying to get the gist of it.

But I have to say I don't think this has ever come up for me.  I have never sat in a corner and sung myself to sleep.

I'm not even sure this is physically possible.

Not since I was a little kid and my mother told me she did not love me, for the very same reasons she does so today. Except that now I say 'I am not exactly proud of having been a refugee from your womb, ''Woman!", so keep your venom to yourself!...it must have been crippling  for so many, hey???' Then go back to whatever else I was doing.

One can listen to a rampaging soul murderer for so long...once aware of what they do BEST, you get out of their way, is all!
