POLL: Why is it that a vast majority of people who post questions in the philosophy section allow the...?

...answers to be put to a vote? This takes all of the fun out of answering their questions and sort of makes you "black list"

those who post questions without having the common decency

to let others know their efforts were appreciated and/or that their

answers helped or what have you. And I'm not talking the occasional oversight..just the ones who habitually send or allow their Q's to be

put to a vote. It's so inconsiderate.

  2. Perhaps it's because they think that they are so sophisticated and above everybody that they don;t feel that any of the answer are worth choosing or maybe they are more busy in their day to day lives then us folks here on P&S.

Perhaps because they aren't "true" philosophers at all.  They are just "normal" people posting questions that they think are "above" par but after reading them they realize they aren't and are embarrassed and so they leave it up to the rest of us to clean up!!!  Now don't get me wrong...there are SOME good questions in that forum.
