  1. My husband and I are both fair, blue eyes, dark blonde hair (although I highlight mine so I'm pretty blonde) - so all three of our kids look like us.  If people see the kids with me, they say "oh, they look just like you".  And if they see them with my husband, they think they look like him.

  2. My son does not look like me or his dad but he really looks like his uncle, my brother!

  3. yeah, he has dimples on his cheeks like me n he has grayish eyes, which i used to have when i was younger.

  4. Our boys are a mix of both.

My oldest looked like my husband as a baby but now (age 3) looks more like me.  He has my husbands long eye lashes, lips, and nose but, for some reason, still looks more like me.  He has my dark hair.  My husband has blue eyes and I have green w/ brown.  His eyes are blue w/ brown, he got a mix of both.  Acually, he looks like a mix of my dad and my husband (and I look like my dad).

Our youngest (so far, he's only 5mo), looks identical to his daddy.  We just *thought* our oldest looked like my husband as a baby, lol.  I'm curious to see if he changes as much as his brother has over the years.

  5. My son looks absolutely nothing like me or his father or anyone else in our family.  If I hadn't seen him when he was first born, I would have thought he was switched.

  6. My 10-year-old son looks like a cross between myself and my husband: he has my nose, face shape, and ears, but his dad's eyebrows (which are very distinct), and general *look*, I guess. :)

My 9-year-old daughter looks just like me, only she hasn't gotten the freckles that I have... yet. :) But, everyone constantly says, "She looks just like you!" (Her dad's eyebrows, though!)

My 16-month-old daughter doesn't look much like either one of us. :)

My husband has black hair, and green eyes (with brown around the pupil). I have reddish-brown hair, and brown eyes... Our son has blue-green eyes, and brown hair, first daughter has brown hair and eyes, and youngest daughter has blonde hair, and blue eyes. :) (I'm 7 months along with another daughter.)

  7. My son doesn't look like me, he took after his father all day.. It is normal for a child not to look like their parent/s.

  8. my 3 kids look just like me except they have blue eyes after there mom i have brown but every where we go they all say they look just like me...

  9. My youngest doesn't really look like me.

She has brown hair - mine is blond (but hubby has brown hair and so do all 4 grandparents)

She has brown eyes - mine are blue and dad's are green (both paternal grandparent's are brown)

Just goes to show that genetics can go back more than one generation.  I think she looks like my mother in-law.

  10. its normal, but not in my case...

my son looks just like I did when I was his age, but the only difference is that he's a boy. he has my hair, my hair colour, my eyes, my nose, my lips, my cheeks..

  11. I have a dimple in the exact same spot on my face as my dad, and I have my mom's eyes, my hair is a combination of the two (the color is more like my mom's, but the texture is more like my dad's) so I do look a bit like my parents, but my friend looks nothing like either of her parents.

My cousin has similar eyes (in shape, the color is completely different) to her mom's, but other than that they look completely different. She really doesn't even look like her dad. Her hair color is similar to his, and her eye color, but other than that she just looks like herself.

It's actually pretty common for kids to look nothing like their parents, and it has to do with how dominant and recessive alleles work. A child may look nothing like either biological parent because they have recessive traits from their parents' other family members, such as a grandmother.

  12. Its all genetics.  You cannot necessarily judge parentage solely on looks.  I mean a perfect example is Kate on the show Jon and Kate plus 8.  All of her children look like her husband. He is Korean...Korean features are dominate and as a result all of their children have Korean features.  My children don't look like me at all.  They look like their father.  True they have blonde hair and blue eyes like me (their father is the same) however, their facial features and even body types resemble my husband.

  13. My kids look very little like me but they resemble their father in every way.  Well, DS has my nose I think but other than that we are of different complextion, hair and eye color, even body type.  Oh well, I know my DNA is in there somewhere.  I have the stretch marks to prove it!!

  14. My son looks exactly like I did when I was his age - the only difference is I had curly, curly hair and his is only a little curly.

  15. this is so funny, my husband and i were just talking about how our son doesn't look like either one of us. our daughter looks just like me.

me, my husband and daughter all have dark brown hair with brown eyes. my son has light brown hair (almost blonde) with green eyes.

if it wasn't for my husband following my son down to the nursery, i would think he had been switched.

  16. my son ls 6 months old and looks just like his daddy. my nephew is 14 months and started out looking like his mom and is now the spitting image of his dad, my cousin looks nothing like her mother or her father it all depends on the kid
