I use a Nikon I have no loyalty to any particular brand. Some people will religiously defend one or the other.It just so happens, I got started on a Nikon and all my gear is already Nikon.

Cameras can be very personal.

Try them both really really try them, and see which one you like better.

Take pictures, try navigating the menus, download the pictures, consider the price. See which one suits your needs/requirements, personality and style of photography. Both companies are about the same, with strengths and weaknesses. Good picture quality and service. It really depends on YOU the photographer.

Well, It's Not ' Cannon ', It's ' Canon '

I Prefer Canon For Point And Shoot Cameras

However

I Prefer Nikon For Digital/Film SLR Cameras.

it depends on which kind of camera you want to get, and what you're going to use it for, both have their strenghths and weaknesses.
