  1. I don't watch boxing, but I do know that pound for pound means that it is an equally matched fight.

  2. just being the overall greatest

  3. to me, in Australia,  pound 4 pound means, giving what u get, so if they hit u hard, u hit them back hard

  4. 1. Kelly Pavlik (Power, strategy, rock hard chin, sticks to the game plan)

    2. Manny Pacquiao

    3. Juan Manuel Marquez

    4. Oscar De La Hoya

    5. Antonio Margarito

    6. Joe Calzaghe

    7. Bernard Hopkins

    8. Arthur Abraham

    9. Nate Campbell

    10. Juan Diaz

  5. Pound for Pound refers to skill against skill, heart against heart, as obviously Sugar Ray Robinson is considered the best pound for pound of all time you cant put him up against a 257 lbs Lennox Lewis and expect him to win but he has more skills and heart then Lewis. So pound 4 pound if on some fantasy plateau they were the same weight Robinson would win.

    1. Manny Pacquiao - The only dominating champion who has knockout wins over Morales and Berrera and recently moved up in weight and dominated the bigger Diaz in overwhelming fashion, he is so good people want to see him fight a 5'11 160 lbs Oscar DeLaHoya when he himself is only pushing 5'7 and 135 lbs is a high weight for him.

    2. Miguel Cotto - I know people will say how can you have Cotto over Margartio, and Ill get about 20 thumbs down and people will say im just upset Cotto lost, well ive been watching boxing alone enough to separate my like of a fighter and my opinion,  well this is pound for pound and it was clear in the fight the only thing that saved Margarito was his 20 lbs weight advantage and ability to absorb the punches from the small Cotto, But Cotto hit him at will and made him look amateurish until he got fatigued trying to move from the giant Margarito. If Margarito came in at 147 lbs he would have succumb to Cotto's uppercuts. Cotto beats anybody that shows up to fight south of 160.

    3. Israel Vasquez - Hes been on a roll and looks impressive every time out, A fighting hall of famer he still shows the grit and determination it takes to beat the younger tigers.

    4. Juan Manuel Marquez - 2 hard fights with P4P king pin Manny Paquiao, held him to a draw in the first fight and held Pacquiao to a split decision in the second.  Wins over Rocky Juarez and Berrera seal the deal.

    5. Antonio Margarito - A huge aggressive welterweight who holds a win over Miguel Cotto. But what hurts him is a loss to Paul Williams and the fact that he really does not have much skill other then being able to make 147 lbs and being able to take punches that would knockout most other fighters. A win over Williams and a rematch victory of Cotto would put him in the top 3.

    6. Joe Calzaghe - Im not convinced, a sloppy win over an aged Hopkins and suffering a knockdown along the way does not get my respect, he does not have any other big names on his resume and refused to fight the middleweight king pin Kelly Pavlik. But he is undefeated with 40 some fights so he has to make the list until he is exposed.

    7. Kelly Pavlik - I think he would beat Joe up, but he holds wins over Taylor who bested Hopkins and has been a wrecking machine who has not been stopped, he is an undefeated Middleweight champion who does not stop throwing and has power in either hand.

    8. Shane Mosley - Other then the guys above him, pound for pound I don't see anybody beating him. He is still fast and still powerful and from the Cotto fight still has a ton of heart

    9. Cristian Mijares - Undisputed champion at super flyweight, have not seen allot of his fights but from what I read and clips ive seen and the 3 fights i did see he looks like he could give anybody a hard night.

    10. Paul Williams avenged his only loss with a 1st round knockout and holds a win over current welterweight king pin Antonio Margarito, although he does not appear to have great boxing skills he is a 6' 1 middleweight with money arms and would be tough for anybody south of middleweight.

  6. winning titles in different weight classes. It's pretty self-explanatory.

  7. 1. Manny Pacquiao. Has moved up in several weight catagories and still be victorious.

    2. Antonio Margarito. destroyed Cotto! Lets us know why Floyd DOGED him

    3. Kelly Pavlik. He is very tough, good chin. Knocked J. Taylor out and then beat him w/ a unanimous decision.

    4. Juan Manuel Marquez. Just needs to stay off the floor against Manny Pacqiuao

    5. Wladamir Klistchko. He's disposing of all Heavyweights!

    6. Israel Vazquez. beat R. Marquez twice

    7. Joe Calzaghe. He just beat Hopkins

    8. Sergio Mora. Schooled Vernon Forrest. undefeated

    9. Miguel Cotto. Dropped from #2 spot.

    10. Oscar De La Hoya. Is still fighting the best fighters. & is still being called out by the best.

Paul Williams looking in at the #11 spot. Beat Margarito. lost to Santana, then crushed him in the 1st round of the rematch.

And droping out of my top 10 is Hopkins who is know ranked 12th on my list.

To me it's not being undefeated, that makes you P4P. Its the skill used to beat his very skilled opponent. That's what puts a fighter on the list and how many times he uses's his skill against other champions and remains a champion.
