Plants can only absorb and use around 26% of the light energy that bombards them. The rest is either reflected or absorbed and released as heat. If a plant/photosynthesis were 100% efficient, how would that effect the temperature of and around the plant?

  1. i think for the plant it would increase becuase the plan is using all of the light therefore not leaving any for the surroundings and i guess the surroundings would decrease idk

  2. since you have 74% of the remaining light energy reflected back or turned around as heat, that energy would be consumed in the production of O2 from the plants. That much less energy would mean the average global temperature would decrease. it wouldn't locally affect places like the arctic or antarctic but heavily forested areas around the equator would definitely see a decrease in temp.

  3. the surrounding would be having very low temperature and same with the plant.
