This year my comish decided to change are standard setting of Fantasy football to a PPR league, but since this is the first year of it he wanted to make it .5 per reception. When Drafting should I treat receptions as if it was important... IE: Picking Reggie Bush early same as wes welker?

Also this is going to be the first year of a keeper league (same league) should I draft diffrently knowing I am going to keep people next year?

  1. Both are important considerations, though 0.5 points is modest for a PPR league.

The highest premium should be paid to feature backs who also catch a lot of passes.  The first tier has the obvious suspects: LT, Westbrook, Addai, S. Jackson...

Bush and Jones-Drew get more touches, and are indeed worth more than Welker.  However, 'posession' receivers have great value and should be bumped up a notch.  It closes the gap between red zone TD-producing receivers.

As for keepers, quality and value still rule, but later in the draft you will want to consider young emerging stars.  Example: People who took Jay Cutler or David Garrard in a later round last year will get tremendous value in them this season, when they are expected to break out.

  2. Reception WR & RBs are very inportant in this league. You need to do your home work. I am in the same kind of league and I seen that Reggie Bush had a more produtive season when healthy then frank gore. I like L.T, AP,Westbrook, R.Bush for sample they catch passes out the back field. also for receivers other then the top tear ones here are a few to keep an eye on. Bobby Engram, Lee evans, Derick Mason this WR are going to be around in the late rounds and catch alot of passes

    good luck
