PROBLEM WITH ACCESSING WINDOWS IE ERROR MESSAGE...

Question

When logging on this morning the PC ie Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P stopped short of booting up Windows XP, and came up with a black screen with the error message

"Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Please report this problem as:

load needed DLLs for kernel."

I have tried restarting from "last known good configuration" but this did nothing and the error message returned.

Would appreciate some advice
